Q: Please Introduce yourself

Hello,We are Serge and Cyril Trad. We go by the name As We Said.

Q: One person you'd dream to have a coffee with?

We don't really have an idol whenit comes to music. The one person my brother and I would love to have coffee with would be our grandma who left us in 2022.

Q: If you were to have a superpower what would it be and why?

Teleportation, can you imagine attending many festivals at once skipping all the long flight hours? Haha.

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score, what movie would you choose and why?

Any Marvel movie would do!

Q: One artist that influenced you the most in your music career.

Eric Prydz was always ahead of his time especially when it comes to combining both sonic and visual art in his performances. Something that became a necessity in todays electronic scene.

Q: Tell us more about your journey, how it started and where do you seeyourself going for the next few years.

Cyril started his musical journey more than 10 years ago taking inspiration from artists like Eric Prydz, Paul van Dyke and Daft Punk. A few years later, I started playing an underground event in Beirut, spinning tracks for artist such as Identified Patient, Scalameriya and Phase Fatale. Although our very different paths in music, we still had our mutual love for authentic and mature Progressive House and Techno. Hence one night we decided to join forces under one alias which translates to our best career decision so far. We aim to hopefully be able to spread our music in the MEA region and the world. 

Q: How does your local scene’s nightlife stand out from the rest?

What makes the Lebanese nightlife so special is how well it competes with biggest nightlife destinations worldwide with just a handful of well crafted party destinations. Most of our clubs are top notched venues and the people are the cherry on the top!

Q: If you were speaking to a tourist in your home country, what’s one club,one city and one activity you would recommend them to go/do?r

If he's lucky enough to be in Beirut, he's lucky enough to visit more than one place in the samae night, everything is so close to each other.

Q: If you had to follow another music genre, which one would you pickand why?

Cyril's solo career is currently shifting towards pop music while I've been working on different DnB, Jungle and experimental tunes in collaboration with local and international friends.

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year

This summer looks quite promising and interesting. We're debuting in some of our favorites clubs and venues here, where we will be testing our unreleased materials and collaborations with local champions and international friends coming on our label STRND Records. Which is alot!

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know

We are huge animal lovers.
