Q: Introduce yourself
Hi I am Delhia de France and I was born underwater. I am a siren and I produce waves in all shapes.
Q: How would you characterize your performance in the electronic music scene, a scene often described as "the sound of the future?
Well i think its quite a present scene, the future is already here. I am kind of a hybrid, I can breathe under and over water.. in my solo project I write, produce and perform a more darker melancholic version of electronica / alt pop. I've also been collaborating with artists from the techno / house realm a lot in the last years.
Q: You are a multi-talented artist. Amongst those talents is your visual arts performance. Can you tell us more about that?
Visuals and music go hand in hand for me. I like to create an immersive world with everything I do, so the visual part becomes equally important, be that in artwork or videos or live.
Q: You seem like a person who possesses superpowers. If you had to choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
I am intrigued by Jean Grey of X-men and sometimes have these revenge or rage fantasies of having her powers and then relieving the Planet of brutal ignorant war-making people.
Q: Club or Festival/Concert and why?
Festivals - I like big stages. but also love the intimacy of a small concert.. and if I am only doing downtempo music I definitely miss the club… everything has its perks, in general preferring concerts though, I think the audience it more attentive and I can create a certain space and vibe with the energy.. also being home by 11 pm is nice :)
Q: Favorite Dish?
Too many. Probably some heavy German food and ramen. Its like ambrosia
Q: What’s your biggest fear while performing?
That the crowd won't like it or that i can't connect, but then this is a construct and I do believe as long as you are present and true they will feel it.
Q: 1 person you’d dream to have a coffee with?
Nefertiti. wanna know her story. Or Elon Musk. I've got lots of questions about AI and the development of the human race for Elon Musk.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to sing for soundtrack of a film from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
Dismissing the fact that there was no song in it I´d say Star Wars. Otherwise the 5th element, I was obsessed with the diva theme or Donnie Darko
Q: Recommend a Hidden Gem in your Home country
Some abandoned former GDR building, one of these massive buildings in Stalinist architecture style
Q: 3 of your earliest inspirations?
