Q: Please introduce yourself
Hola Chicos, I’m Jeremie from Argentina. I’ve lived in Barcelona for seven years and started producing when I moved here.
Q: One person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
Max Martin, the producer for The Weeknd and many other legends.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I would stop time because time is precious, haha.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score, what movie would you choose and why?
Gladiators, for sure, because the music is amazing.
Q: Who has been the most influential in your music career? And why?
I grew up in a musical household. My parents, who play the saxophone and are part of a band in Argentina, and my older sister, too, inspire me every day.
Q: Tell us about your journey, what got you to where you are today?
I always knew I wanted to be a DJ, but my first thought was that I had to become a great producer. So, I have solely focused on making music for the last few years.
Q: Everyone goes through ups and downs, what’s one habit you adopt to push through the downs?
I love photography, so I enjoy disconnecting from social media, taking long walks and capturing photos of landscapes and scenery. This is what gets my mind in a good place.
Q: Can you recall a DJ set or performance of yours that remains unforgettable to you? Where did it take place, and what makes it stand out among all others?
We all have one, and I think the last one I played in Puglia Italy was incredible. It was at Malimi, a beach club that has a perfect location. The Italian crowd is different from the others, they have a lot of energy and their vibe is unique, and they didn't stop dancing all night long.
Q: How has your music style evolved over the years?
When I was a child, my parents introduced me to a lot of classical music. As a teenager, I listened to rock bands like Limp Bizkit and System Of A Down, and then, at 18, I started enjoying tech house. As time went by, I delved into tech house, and right now, I’m feeling more housey.
Q: If you were to venture into another music genre, which one would you choose and why?
Afro House, I love Adam Port’s The Lot Radio mix.
Q: Could you name 3 tracks that got you into electronic music and why?
1) BAM, Joyce Muniz - Back In The Days Feat. Bam (Orignal Mix) [Exploited]
2) Oden & Fatzo - Lauren (Extended Mix) [ColumbiaB1 Recordings]
3) Azari & III - Hungry for the Power (Jamie Jones Remix)
All three are incredible pieces of music.
Q: Can you recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would be perfect for a rave?
Location-wise, a rave near Glaciar Perito Moreno in the Autumn would be incredible! Search it online!
Q: Could you tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for the year?
I just released two tracks on Revival. I plan to tour Europe this summer and work on creating my own label.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners are probably unaware of?
This is funny because I love to make music and DJ, but I don’t drink or party, hahaha. Thank you for interviewing me!
