Q: Please introduce yourself
Holla! Mihalis here, DJ and producer for over 2 decades.
Q: One person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
First of all I don't drink coffees, so I guess I would have to drink tequila. Would love to do that with Miles Davis, crazy dream.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Foresee the future. You solve 100% of problems that way. Mister Future-man.
Q: Who has been the most influential in your music career? And who has been the most influential in your personal life?
In both aspects, Curtis aka Green Velvet. Timeless friendship and unique music-wise in all ways. In my personal life I would say maybe my pastor.
Q: Could you share with us your journey – the good and bad experiences that have brought you to where you are today?
Getting my bags ready for the end of years shows in Sion for my good friend's Yvan Genkins new club, Heat. Can not wait.
Q: Everyone goes through ups and downs, what’s one habit you adopt to push through the downs?
Simple one. Pray.
Q: What is one pro work ethic that you would recommend to the readers/listeners?
It's not ethic, more like an attitude. Never give up.
Q: How has your music style evolved over the years?
Well I started in minimal and then went to techno, and now here we go nasty tech house baby!
Q: If you were to venture into another music genre, which one would you choose and why?
Ambient as it makes me feel trippy :)
Q: Could you name 3 tracks that got you into electronic music and why?
Typical question that I can not answer as there are over 20 and honestly can not pick one. I’d go for the unreleased Safras Green Velvet - Take.
Q: Can you recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would be perfect for a rave?
Marathon beaches are dope.
Q: Could you tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for the year?
Obviously in December we have the Baby Robot single on Adesso Music and my remix for Happy Techno. Next ones on Relief and Material labels too.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners are probably unaware of?
I started playing tennis at the age of 40. Too old for this sh**
Bonus Q Powered by Pioneer DJ: How did Pioneer DJ influence your career and what is your favorite Pioneer DJ gear?
One of my very first interviews was for Pioneer DJ Sounds. Big up to Dan Tait for these. Also needless to say that all my equipment was from Pioneer.
