Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?
Passionate
Q: What was the driving force that got you into Music Production and when?
Computers, when I was maybe 13 or 14. I just liked to take things apart to see howthey worked. Music is still like that to me
Q: Analog or Digital? And why?
Both, and why not? Analog for texture, grit and character, digital for convenience, glitch and infinity.
Q: What's your favorite venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
Lux Frágil in Lisbon. It looks and sounds great, and has been a home to manyamazing nights both for me and my label Discotexas.
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Mind control. I’d only use it on Oligarchs though.
Q: 1 person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
Stevie Wonder. I think I’d need a stronger drink though, to deal with beingabsolutely starstruck.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
Maybe ‘Cosmos’, the mini tv-series from the 80s narrated by Carl Sagan. I loveastronomy documentaries for their ability to make one think about scale of spaceand time, and scoring the music for one would be amazing.
Q: Recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would fit a perfect rave?
The Caixa Geral de Depósitos HQ in Lisbon. It’s home to a national bank, and is anabsolutely incredible example of brutalist architecture. Also I like the idea of ravingagainst capitalism..
Q: What are 3 tracks that got you into electronic music?
Squarepusher - ‘Beep Street'
Amon Tobin – ‘Chomp Samba’
Modjo – ‘Lady’
