Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?
I would say meticulous, definitely!
Q: What was the driving force that got you into Music Production and when?
The music itself. I started taking piano lessons when I was very young. I actually loveclassical music. Then I played different instruments growing up so I did have a bit of a musical background. When I was 14 I discovered I could chop up different sounds and loops with my old Computer. My interest in dance music started there.
Q: Analog or Digital? And why?
I love booth, but it's just about what works for your sound. The digital sound is perfect for me. When I want to replicate an analogue sound I have my own processes and plugins. I don’t necessarily instantly create that vibe on a DAW alone, I also need studio time with no distractions.
Q: What's your favorite venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
Ritter Butzke, it was the first club where I played in Berlin. Amazing atmosphere, really cheerful and friendly people and fantastic club sound system. it will always remain in my heart!
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Sometime I wish I could stop time, have a moment more, make it go back. But life goes on anyway.
Q: 1 person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
I am a huge fan of Hans Zimmer, he is my favourite composer of all time.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
I was mostly studying sound design and I learnt a lot about sounds, music in general, and also myself! A film score is a real journey. If I had a chance to do a film score maybe I would choose the David Lynch’s film, “Dune”.
Q: Recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would fit a perfect rave?
I was born in URSS, today it’s the country of most iconic Post-Soviets buildings and structures, it’ s very hard to choose my favourite one. However, the Baikonur cosmodrome is one of them.
Q: What are 3 tracks that got you into electronic music?
Until around 2012 I was a DJ playing clubs with vinyls, these was my favourite tracks that introduced me to the electronic music:
Kano - It's a war (Ss Us Re Edit)
Metro Area - Miura (Original Mix)
Mike & Charlie - I Get Live (Dave London Mix)
(Bonus “rare” track) Divine Dance Experience - Hard Block (Part 2)
Q:Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know
I'm a cleaning freak, person sick about cleanliness. I treat the studio like a laboratory.
Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.
Recently I joined the “Vibe Me To The Moon” label and we did an amazing project together, a single called “Losing You”. The whole EP is a pure homage to the golden house ages. It will be released very soon with two remixes featured by Mntl and Jeremy Juno - a great collaboration! Next up, on vinyl is my next 3 track EP on Rebel Vision Recordings; for me it’s probably the most diverse tracks I’ve done so far. In short, absolutely not to be missed !
